I’m a Technical Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory working on Advanced Camera Technology. I also own a small business that builds custom motorcycles – particularly old BMW boxer motorcycles.
How long did you serve and in which branch?
7 years in Army
What did you take from military service that you still apply in your daily life?
The success and failure of any team is fully dependent on the quality of the leadership in any situation. I found this to be a profound lesson that helps me with my relationship with my peers and teams that I lead.
What is your favorite memory from military service?
Any mortar live fire exercise. The memory of carrying them, I don’t remember too fondly, but it was always worth spending a day out on the range.
Why did you choose to come back to NH?
Grew up here, my wife and family is here, went to school here. NH is a great place and has a bit of everything. I wanted to be peaceful and I found that in the town that I live in. I’ve been very fortunate.
What is your favorite thing about NH?
I love that in an hour’s drive, I can have a totally different experience – whether it’s the ocean, hiking, lake, city. If you want to do anything, its usually not that far away.
How did you find out about NHYVN and how has it benefitted your business or you personally?
Fortunately, I’m nearly neighbors with Christina who got me involved. Its been great to meet different people with different backgrounds.
Tell us some fun facts about you!
I’m a big motorcyclist and enthusiast. I have three little kids that have also become attached to the sport – which I love. I’m an active participant in various STEM programs for middle school and high school students. I’m also the Chair of Deerfield Municipal Budget Committee.
